Dover Little League - IOOF Team Page 2009

IOOF defeated Red’s 10-1 Monday evening to raise their record to 2-1. The highlight of the game was a home-run over the left field fence by Dakota Newberry, the first of his career! Casey Aubin pitched 5 innings giving up an unearned run and striking out 12. Tristan Duffy had 3 hits, and Griffin Guerra, Jake Jermyn, Casey Aubin, and Dakota Newberry all had 2 hits for IOOF.

The defensive highlight was a perfect relay from Kyle Little to Griffin Guerra to Chris Lostimolo to cut down a runner at third base.

Police and IOOF played an exciting game on Murray Field Wednesday 4/29, with Police winning by a score of 8-6. Police led a low scoring game 2-1 after 3 innings, but exploded for 4 runs in the 4^th inning to go ahead 6-1. IOOF fought back and stranded the tying runs on base in the 6^th inning. Both teams turned a double play to kill rallies

Davin Hardin not only was the winning pitcher, but also had three hits, including a double and 2 triples, and had 4 RBI’s. Peter Christie had 2 hits and pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief to preserve the win for Police.

Tristan Duffy continued his hot hitting for IOOF as he had a double and inside-the-park home run with 4 RBI’s. Chris Lostimolo had 2 hits and Christian Torr made a great catch in center field to rob Grayson Tuttle of an extra base hit.

Sunday 3/29/09 - Great session at USA Training Center Yesterday. Thanks to all of the I.O.O.F players who attended.

Looks like the fields are still a little damp so our first practice on 04/04/2009 has been cancelled. It will be replaced with another indoor practice session as USA Training Center in Newington, NH.
